Beware of Scams!

Payment by cashiers check (sometimes made out for more than the purchase price) get change and your car. Several weeks later the check is returned to your bank as fraudulent. Beware!

This is how they go: 

"Hello, I am  a  Automobile  dealer based in Poland. I saw your advert placement on the internet and am interested in buying your car. Kindly forward me your final asking price only as my shipping agent would handle the shipping and pick-up, and I want to know the present state or condition of  the car as my shipper will check for any malfunction in the car before shipping, please let me know if there is any fault I should know about.  

Also indicate if you would accept a cashiers check drawn from a U.S. Bank for payment. I look forward to hearing from you.

• I am selling my 1981 Pontiac Trans Am. Powered by the factory 4.9 litre turbocharged V8. Have receipts totaling over $3,900.00 for a rebuilt turbo and rebuilt transmission. Car is an excellent everyday driver as it runs and drives great. Have original build sheet showing Turbo motor, power windows, AC, 4 wheel disc brakes, 3.08:1 Posi rear end, Cars has Flowmaster exhaust with hi-flo cat-converter. Has CD player and alarm.
