Fresno, CA: Hot Rod Coalition Car Show; HRC has spent the last year creating the Valley's #1 Hot rod website and now we are bringing 7 innovative and first class shows to Fresno. They will be held at the Park Place shopping center on Palm and Nees on the first Friday of every month from April - October @ 6:00 pm. Each show will have a theme: Car club cash sweepstakes, Drive-in movie, music festival, automotive art show, Snow White Hot Rod Shop Reunion, and a Rodders Memorial. Crescent City, CA: 21st Sea Cruise; at Beachfront Park, Front St. and Stamps (west from US 101). Hosted by the Northern Knights Car Club and the Crescent City / Del Norte County Chamber of Commerce, the proceeds benefit the Del Norte High School Scholarship Program. Open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles of all years. Friday afternoon Show & Shine downtown with live music by the Mudsharks, and a Steak dinner at the Elks Lodge. The Saturday Car Show will be in Beachfront Park from 8 AM to 4 PM. The first 400 registrants receive goody bags with a commemorative wine glass. There will also be; Dash plaques, T-shirts, raffle, 50/50, food & merchandise vendors, and a pancake breakfast at the Elks Lodge. All registrations include 2 tickets to the Saturday night Sea Cruise Show & Dance featuring Rocky & the Revelettes that runs 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM (Sorry, 21 and older due to alcohol sales). Entry fee is $40.00 prior to Oct. 6, $45.00 on Oct. 6, with spectators being Free. First & Second place awards in 64 classes, plus 6 special awards. Bishop, CA: Fall Colors Car Show; At the Tri-County Fair Grounds, 1141 N. Main St. Hosted by the Owens Valley Cruisers, the show is open to 1974 and older cars. Registration is $60.00 until 9/15/12 and $70.00 thereafter. Includes Show & Shine, mug, poker hand, pancake breakfast tickets, dash plaque, T-shirt, and goodie bag. Show & Shine only is $35.00. Come enjoy the beauty of the Eastern Sierra and the magnificent Fall Colors. Early registration begins Friday, October 5th at 4:00 p.m. in the Vons/Kmart Parking Lot. The Show & Shine begins at 9:00 a.m. Saturday. A Main Street Parade will follow the Show & Shine. Mariposa, CA: Hot Rod & Custom Car Show; At the Mariposa Fairgrounds. Car entries include: Goody Bag, Admission and Lunch for Two for only $30.00. Friday evening will be an optional BBQ at NAPA Auto Parts Store for only $10.00 per person. Sunday will be a fun Poker Run in and around Yosemite National Park. Los Alamitos, CA: Wings, Wheels, Rotors & Expo 2012; WWRE 2012 is an annual open house and family event sponsored by the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce and the California National Guards Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB). All the activities run from 9am to 4pm and will take place on the flightline at Los Alamitos Army Airfield (KSLI). Los Alamitos Army Airfield is the last remaining military airfield in the greater LA/Orange County areas with the longest runways in the OC. The JFTB is also the disaster support area for S. California. On display will be military aircraft, helicopters ,many cars, warbirds along with public safety, first responder and military equipment .Aircraft flyovers are planned including aircraft static displays and radio controlled airplanes. Wings Wheels & Rotors will have various civilian and public safety helicopters with fire, police and military rotorcraft including some of the media aircraft seen daily on the air around SoCal. Helicopter awareness will be supported by the Professional Helicopter Pilot Association (PHPA) Along with the airplanes and warbirds are helicopter flights in civilian "choppers" for a small fee. Also free flights in general aviation airplanes by the Experimental Aircraft Association Young Eagles for youth between the ages of 8 and 17 years who are interested in flying and aviation. The largest event will be a huge car show including custom cars,new autos, motorcycles, roadsters, antique vehicles and hot rods. Awards to be presented for best cars. Pre-registration for cars is $30 until September and $15 for bikes. Free admission. Call the Los Al Chamber for more details. 562-598-6659. Additionally, there will be food, including breakfast, music, vendors, displays, demonstrations, flybys and other activities.
