Next Event: Dates: July 15 & 16, 2005. Yes, we scheduled off the 4th of July weekend. But be ready to celebrate, better late than never.

 

The time is soon, the place is reserved and the competition is going to be intense. The question is, are you up to it??

Trudy and Dave Marean have secured the next outing location, and at a great discount. Instead of the usual $48.00, we will be able to stay for only $32.00 per night. Full hookups, wireless internet (really!!), Pool and hot tub, grass and picnic tables. Even Cable Television is available. The sites are pull-through.

Many local attractions as well as the planned activities are on tap.

So, where are we off to? Thought you would never ask. Go West, y'all, go West, even North. Smell the ocean air just a few miles away. The far off sound of the surf. Hear the whistle of a steam locomotive. Ride a roller coaster or merry-go-round. Explore a place where the laws of nature don't apply. Got a clue yet? We have reserved 6 sites at Santa Cruz Ranch RV Park at Carbonero Creek, Scotts Valley, CA. www.santacruzranchrv.com.  GPS 37.02.79.6/122.00.90.5. Lost? Travel to Santa Cruz; take Hwy. 17 to Scotts Valley. The address is 917 Disc Drive. The local map is attached.

Now here is the catch. By July 1st, we need to confirm the total number of sites. We also have to pay for at least one night for all sites reserved. So, if you can go, you must let us know. The 6 will go fast and we may need to make room for more. But you must let us know by July 1, 2005. We do have lots planned, in the park, the immediate area and within a short drive. So give us a call, an e-mail, a check if you would like, and join us for what is planned to be a really fun weekend. And, if you would like to go a day or so early, we might be able to arrange it. Directions:

Three miles North from Santa Cruz & Highway 1 on Highway 17.

Southbound on Hwy 17 from San Jose:

Approximately 20 miles from Highway 280 and 17 in San Jose, take the first Scotts Valley Exit - Granite Creek Road/Scotts Valley Drive. Ramp curves to a traffic light at Scotts Valley Drive. Turn left and after the third light move to the far left lane to Disc Drive (on left)/Civic Center Drive (on right). (On left you will see a white sign "Seagate") turn left on Disc Drive and proceed over small bridge, at "Y" veering to the left and you will be at the park entrance. The registration/office is at the entrance next to the water fountain on your left. Try to park your RV on the right hand side of the entrance road. If after hours, pick up your envelope posted on the office door and register in the morning.

Northbound on Hwy 17 from Santa Cruz:

Just 3 miles from Highway 1 & 17m take first Scotts Valley Exit - Mt. Hermon/Big Basin. Ramp curves around to left over Highway 17. Proceed straight ahead and after second light move to far right lane. Go to the third traffic light at Scotts Valley Drive (Shell station on right at corner.) Turn right and proceed to the the 3rd traffic light, Disc Drive (on right)/Civic Center Drive (on left). (On right you will see a white sign "Seagate") turn right on Disc Drive and proceed over small bridge. At "Y" veer to the left and you will be at the park entrance. The registration/office is at the entrance next to the water fountain on your left. Try to park your RV on the right hand side of the entrance road. If the office is closed, pick up your envelope posted on the office door and register in the morning.

SPEED LIMIT IN SCOTTS VALLEY IS 35 MPH and is Strickly Enforced
